Everything is awesome!
Every kid growing up always enjoys playing with Legos. I know I had a few in my collection that I would see either on my birthday or for Christmas. Imagine a whole theme park like that of Disneyland but completely made out of Legos or at least it looks as though it is made from Legos. When planning my trip I found a few confusing things that I can now elaborate to anyone and everyone.
For starters, the park is comprised of 3 parks. The Lego Sea Theme Life Aquarium, The Lego Water Park and the main official Legoland. The aquarium is a lot of fun and can be experienced within an hour or two (It’s not very big) and is located right next to the front entrance of the Legoland park. The Water park is located inside Legoland near the back of the park and is much bigger, you can spend an entire day here at the water park with a multitude of rides and attractions most being water based.
Legoland itself is the crown jewel and is pretty big, most of the rides being for children so in case you’re planning a trip for little ones they’ll be sure to enjoy most of the attractions. The park is broken up into 7 different themes being Village Green (a section entirely for kids), The Ridge, Fun Town, The Garden, Castle Hill, Imagination Zone and Miniland. Miniland is the highlight of the park as it is a section where there are large miniature sets made entirely of Legos from Las Vegas to New York.
The new land that I wasn’t able to experience as it was yet to be completed was the new Lego Movie Land which will feature all the characters from both hit films of the same name along with rides, attractions and food inspired by the movies. If you do happen to be planning a trip soon, be sure to buy a 2 day park hopper pass which will give you more than enough time to experience both parks of your choice. If you are planning on staying at the hotel, there are two, The Castle Hotel and the regular Lego Hotel. Both parks allow you to enter the park at it’s entrance and give you the best parking for entering as well.
The hotels also feature their own buffets with their own menu and the best part is that you can attend both without having reservations at the hotels. The food in the park is subpar to say the least and pretty pricey, bring snacks if you’d like as you’ll have to completely leave the parks in order to find food elsewhere. There are also a number of hotels located around and near the park with shuttle services that allow you to use in case you’d like to save a few hundred dollars on both parking and hotel stay within Legoland. I had a great time and plan on going back to experience the Lego Movie Land and I hope this helped you as well when planning your trip!
