That spooky time of the year is here and it’s time to check out some bone chilling excitement for yourself. Universal Studios Horror Nights has to be one of the best frightening experiences one can have during the horror-day season. How exactly does this work though? Let me break it down for you and ensure all your questions are answered.
Every year Universal Studios puts together mazes, shows, food, merchandise and games specifically for Halloween. Each year it changes from films like Trick or Treat to Ghostbusters so it’ll be a different experience every time you go. The park is completely transformed and even the rides which are normally there are different. The Mummy in door roller coaster is now in the dark as is the new Jurassic World water ride.
The price for admission is different from a regular day so don’t be confused by that. You have to specifically purchase a ticket for Horror Nights and not for Universal Studios. The normal park hours change as for the normal day which has no horror themed features will usually close around 6 pm. Horror Nights usually start at 7 pm so for those who have tickets will usually not be allowed to enter the park until that time.
My recommendation if you are panning on attending is to also buy a fast pass as the lines tend to get very long. Some nights the lines can be so long that you won’t be able to get on more than 2 mazes out of the usual 12 attractions they have. One of the best parts of Horror Nights has to be the tram. Normally the tram takes you around the back lot, but on Horror Nights it “breaks down” and off you go on foot through a haunted maze unsure if you’ll make it back to the park alive.
Universal Studios hosts one of the best Halloween themed attraction from late September to early November every year. I love attending and plan to go every year I can! This one unfortunately is for adults only as it can be quite too scary for children.
