Asada Pizza

Looking for a great pizza place with a twist? Well look no further as Asada Pizza on San Fernando rd, here in Los Angeles has you covered. I had the privilege of being invited in by the owner Juan to stop by and sample their signature dish the carne asada pizza. You are allowed to customize whatever pizza style you’d like, so don’t feel intimidated to come in and ask for crazy or basic toppings.

I went with their classic pie the asada pizza with one small change from frijoles (beans) to classic marinara sauce. Pictured below!

The Pizza was well balanced with cilantro, cheese, carne asada, jalapenos and chorizo. This seemed like an odd combination for a pizza pie, but after one bite I was immediately hooked. The carne asada was juicy and rich with flavor, not over cooked like you’d find at some taco places and the cilantro blended very well with the cheese. They have such an enormous menu filled with different combinations and toppings that you’ll have a lot to choose from.

The establishment has a nice outdoor patio sitting and a great interior. They are just opening up so I wasn’t able to fully see what the place looked like filled with people and music playing. I definitely plan to return to not only try some of their other pizza’s such as the spicy elote (Mexican corn) pizza and of course a classic margarita pizza, but to get a full experience as well. This is a must for all pizza lovers out there looking to expand their palette.
