Living in the Los Angeles area can have it’s perks, but none are as good as knowing some of the famous hot spots. Casa Vega is just that, a Hollywood legend eating area where many celebrities can be spotted enjoying their meal.
Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood features a scene where Leonardo DiCaprio’s character can be seen at the bar with Brad Pitt having one of their many signature margaritas this establishment has.
I had the privilege of getting a reservation recently and I must say I really enjoyed my experience. The atmosphere is fantastic with it’s dim lighting and gorgeous art along the walls made it feel so unique. The servers were fantastic and very attentive, refilling my glass of lemonade before getting to the bottom.
Let’s talk about the food though, it is after all a restaurant. Usually these type of places are more known as a be seen spot, but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the food! The chips and salsa were a home run for me followed up with a chicken tortilla soup and finally my amazing Molcajete! So flavorful and filling with my side of arroz y frijoles (beans and rice).
If you do plan on going be sure to book a reservation in advance and it is valet only unless you park in a nearby neighborhood and walk. but it is definitely worth the trip! Casa Vega, if you are reading this, thank you for the evening and my compliments to the chef.
