Welcome to Sin City!
Las Vegas is located in Nevada and it is unlike any other place on the planet. There is so much to take in when it comes to the oasis in the desert, so where do we start? Are you planning a Vegas trip, but aren’t sure how to spend your time? Do you not want to go to Vegas because you believe it to just be for gamblers and alcoholics? Well I’m here to give you a break down on the city of sin.
Casinos & Hotels
First timers should always spend their time on the strip (The main street where all the hotel’s and casino’s are located). Every hotel on the strip has their own casino built into it and you can walk from one right into another. There are a lot of different themes such as New York New York, Cesar’s Palace, Paris France, The Luxor which looks like a pyramid and much much more. You must be 21 to gamble and while seated at a table or slot machine, Waiters and waitresses will bring you around free beverages both alcoholic and non alcoholic. I personally always like to tip them a dollar or two so they come around more frequent.
Food & Buffets
Most casinos have their own buffet which has an array of variety. The food in Las Vegas is worth the trip alone as they have foods from all over the world. Gordan Ramsay has his own restaurant along with Wolfgang Puck and several other known chefs. The CocaCola Factory which is also located on the strip has flavors from all over the world along with other unique flavors only sold there. M&M’s World, Hershey’s Chocolate Factory and several other popular franchises can be found here that break the barriers of basic food. I often find myself attending at least one buffet every time I am in town.
Attractions & Shows
Las Vegas is home to several types of conventions, concerts, shows and attractions such as the Titanic Museum. There is always a show in town whether that be Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Cher, Circus O’lay and several other musicians. Musical acts aren’t the only thing you can catch while visiting as Las Vegas is known for having great magic acts from Penn and Teller to David Blaine. Conventions often come around as well such as Adult Con, Alien Con, Safari Club international and much much more.
Las Vegas is definitely worth checking out at least once in your lifetime even for just a weekend. I have been several times and I still haven’t seen every corner of this city that never sleeps. Let me know if there’s a specific resort you like to stay at while in town.
