Covid-19 has caused a lot of chaos this past year. Most people were forced to work from home or just stay at home until the world starts spinning again. I found myself in quite a situation as I love to travel and always be out and about. There aren’t very many places to go unfortunately as Museums, Theme Parks, Cruises, Traveling etc. have all been banned or shut down.
But you’re in luck! You have Mini Jai on your side and here are a few things to do in the Los Angeles area to do!
Universal City Walk
City Walk currently has free parking for any visitors which is really nice and convenient. The park may be closed, but there is still a variety of shopping or picture taking one can do at City Walk. There are also new shops that have just opened up with unique merchandise only available there featuring some of Universal’s classic films. One of my favorite things about the park was butter beer and churros and now they have a stand that allows you to buy just that!
Santa Monica
Santa Monica has always been a fun place to go with the beach and the Pier to visit. Now that the Pier is closed whats there to do? I recently went and was very happy to see that most of the shops and take out restaurants were available and open there on the 3rd street promenade next to do the pier. One street away from the beach you can also jog, bike ride, skateboard or bask in the refreshing breeze from the ocean water. A cute picnic date would be perfect here.
Hiking
Hiking is a very free and fun thing to do. There are a lot of different places to go hike as you can find in my other article here. Getting out and enjoying the air and sunlight can be a big stress reliever. There are a lot of different hikes, but my favorite will always be the famous Hollywood sign hike. Just getting out of the house is refreshing!
Downtown Disney
This is one of my favorite places on the planet. Don’t believe me? Check out my Instagram @Minijaitravel and check out all the fabulous food, shops and scenery to marvel at while here. Parking is about $10 and most of the sit in restaurants are closed, but with new shops opened up as well as the old ones, this is definitely a place to have a great time. A section of Disney’s California Adventure has been opened to the public as well where you can feel like you’re back in the parks. They also have a back lot special premier shop for exclusive Disneyland merch.
These aren’t the only things to do and see to get out of the house. If you live in Orange county or near San Diego there are a number of beaches still made public. The snow has fallen and a trip to Big Bear or Mount High would be a nice adventure as well. Hope this helped and come back to visit again!
