The Holidays are here which means Universal Studios everywhere gets visited by Dr.Suess character The Grinch! If there is ever a time to visit the park it’s during the holiday season as the entire park gets decorated like Whoville where you can meet characters such as Cindy Lou Who, the Mayor and of course the Grinch himself as well as his dog Max!
There is no additional cost like there is for Halloween Horror Nights so a one day admission will allow you access to see all the wonderful decor. The lines can tend to get a little long to see the unjolly green Whoville resident so be sure to get in line early. One of the highlights of this time of the year is every hour or so they do a lighting of the Christmas tree where the characters come out and sing their Christmas carols and the odd angled tree lights up.
The parks begins to snow as well and there are a number of different Grinch inspired treats like green cotton candy and christmas tree shaped rice krispie treats. Theres more as well as you can visit the Harry Potter sectioned and be immersed in a Harry Potter Christmas with lights adorning the castle, carolers, and great souvenir ideas for the family.
I love visiting Universal this time of the year and just exploring as there is always something to do other than getting on the rides. If you happen to spot me there than be sure to say hello!
