Six Flags Theme Parks

Theme Park goers and thrill seekers a like are sure to have heard this name. Six Flags has become a staple in not only the theme park business, but the country as well. If you’re looking to jump on some wild coasters and enjoy some screams then you’ve come to the right place.

Six Flags originated in Texas thus giving it the name as Texas was known for the six flags that built the state. Since then it has grown and turned into the thrill seekers fantasy with it’s innovation in roller coasters that do everything from twist, turn, loop, shoot fire, spit water and send you sky rocketing across the clouds.

I am a huge fan of both theme parks and roller coasters, but I must admit if you are coming here for the theme aspect or bringing small kids, I’d probably reconsider. The park is mostly designed with gravity defying rides and doesn’t cater too much to families in the same sense that Universal Studios or Disney Parks would. You’re here to lose your voice and your lunch and that’s pretty much what you’re going to get.

Six Flags did acquire the rights to some Warner Bros Characters such as the Looney Tunes animated characters and DC comics SuperHeroes. Not all parks were able to obtain the licensing rights to the characters so they won’t be seen in a few of them. The ones that do usually have something called “Bugs Bunny World” which is made for small children to enjoy kiddie rides and allow them to dip their toes in the world of coasters. There they can also take photos with some of their favorite Warner Bros creations.

Six Flags also took over most of the “Premier parks” which was a competitor in the big coaster amusement park department allowing Six Flags to allocate to more areas in the country and the globe. They currently have 10+ properties in the united states with several parks opening and closing over the years. They are planning to expand and open more properties in China as well as a few other spots around the world.

They usually have great deals and rates like bring a buddy with a coke can or a two for one sale on tickets so if you like roller coasters as much as I do, it would be a mistake to miss visiting.
